This place is pretty cool. Woodstock, IL, is starting to be a bit of an up-and-coming place! My first time being at Ethereal Confections, I had no idea what to expect. I walked into the confection bar area first and was immediately hit with the smell of amazing chocolate! I knew at that point that this wedding celebration would be amazing no matter what. What professional wedding DJ doesn’t like chocolate?

To my dismay, the wedding wasn't going to be held near the chocolate bar or in their event space above the chocolate bar called the Loft. The gals at the storefront were extremely nice though and pointed me in the right direction. It was up the walk a bit at their other location called the courthouse. From a logistics standpoint, the load-in was easy. Just walk right in, and the elevator to the top floor is right there! I love this. The actual space used for entertaining is beautiful. Just a very classy older building with a courthouse look minus the cops.

This wedding was all about the Xmas vibe. The bride was totally into Christmas! The night before, I was at a festival-style event where I used a projector to display falling snowflakes on a large wall. I went the extra mile to make this happen for this couple at no extra charge. It was worth it to see the smile on their faces as they walked into the room!

Everything ran so smoothly under the venue management. Super cool people. The event was a complete success. Everyone had such a great time. I am so looking forward to playing here again. Hopefully, next time in one of the other event spaces they offer!
